Ke zmírňování dopadů klimatických změn lze přispět rozpracováním konkrétních adaptačních opatření a podporou vědeckého výzkumu následků těchto změn.

In spite of the fact that we are just in a warmer period of historical temperature oscillations and that the Earth's climate has not been too stabilized during the last 400,000 years, the data on the concentration of carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases which were unknown in the past have been rapidly growing over the last ten years. The adoption of adaptation measures and support of scientific research into the consequences of these changes can help to mitigate the impact of climate change.
