Khao Yai je nejstarší a druhý největší národní park v Thajsku. Nachází se ve střední části východního Thajska a z více než 80% zahrnuje původní nedotčené tropické lesy – deštné i opadavé. V parku žije malá skupina tygra indočínského (Panthera tigris corbetti) a významné populace slona indického (Elephas maximus indicus), gaura (Bos gaurus), dvou druhů gibonů, 4 druhů zoborožců a jiných ohrožených druhů zvířat.

Khao Yai is the oldest and second-largest national park in Thailand. It is situated in the middle of eastern Thailand. More than 80% of its territory includes primary tropical forest – tropical moist evergreen forest, dry evergreen and dry mixed deciduous forest. The park is the home of a small group of tigers (Panthera tigris corbetti), alarge population of Asian elephant (Elephant maximus indicus), Gaur (Bos gaurus), two species of gibbons, four species of hornbills and many other endangered animal species.
