V prvním díle příspěvku přibližujeme přírodní podmínky, krajinu, management a květenu území.

The main botanical features of the Georgian Colchis Region (around the port city of Batumi) are summarized in this two-part series. The region is unique due to its flora and vegetation from all over western Eurasia. Local flora harbours many relict species including arcto-tertiary ones. In this first part, local abiotic factors, landscape, types of management and the diversity
of flora are described.
