Diverzita cévnatých rostlin karpatského regionu je v článku ilustrována výběrem významných endemitů a reliktů. Kromě druhů s celokarpatským rozšířením jsou představeny i taxony vázané na dílčí oblasti Karpat – Západní, Východní a Jižní Karpaty, Apuseni (Munţii Apuseni) a Transylvánskou vysočinu.
