Asarum plants are quite well-known thanks to one representative of this genus - Asarum europaeum, growing in the Czech Republic. However, it is a relatively numerous and variable group consisting of about 90 species, which attract professional botanists and cultivators. Asarum plant pollination mechanisms are the most interesting chapters concerning their biology.
