Hnízdo tohoto ptáka velikosti drozda má průměr až kolem 30 cm a hmotnost 3,5-5,5 kg. Je zajímavé, že si hrnčiříci pracně staví každým rokem nové hnízdo, opuštěné využívají jiní živočichové.

The rufous hornero (Furnarius rufus) is the national bird of Argentina, found from Bolivia to Central Argentina and famous for constructing extraordinarily elaborate oven-like nests (hence the name "horneros", coming from the Spanish word for "oven"), pasted together from mud and plant materials. The nest of this passerine bird of the size of a thrush can reach approximately 30 cm in diameter, weighing 3,5-5,5 kg. What is interesting is that the rufous hornero laboriously build a new nest every year, abandoning their nests to be used by other animals.
