Druhý díl představuje změny naší krajiny v různých fázích pleistocénu a holocénu s příklady společenstev měkkýšů a jejich výpovědí o stavu divočiny.

In most parts of Europe the landscape has been influenced for a long time by man, so that the real wilderness has barely survived except in poorly accessible sites. Molluscs can be a good tool for exploring the wilderness, because their ecology is known in considerable detail. Moreover, we have a dense network of Holocene successions in Central Europe that allows us to reconstruct how the wilderness originated and went extinct during the postglacial. The second part presents changes to our landscape from various phases of the Pleistocene and Holocene with examples of mollusc communities and their testimony on the state of the wilderness.
