Na vybraných skupinách fosilních živočichů jsou ilustrovány posuny biogeografických jednotek, říší, viditelné i na území české křídové pánve. Posuny hranice boreální (chladnější) a tethydní (tropické) říše značí klimatické výkyvy, chladnější pulzy v období jednoho z nejvýraznějších globálních oteplení v historii Země (cenoman–turon ve svrchní křídě).

Fossil material from the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin illustrates shifts in the border of two biogeographic realms – cold, Boreal, and tropical, Tethyan. This implies climatic fluctuations (colder pulses) within one of the warmest periods in the Earth’s history (Cenomanian–Turonian in the Upper Cretaceous).
