The capital city of Prague is one of the biodiversity hotspots in Central Bohemia. Based on the results of monitoring in 14 protected areas we point to changes in the diurnal butterflies assemblage over 15 years. During this period there has been no significant decrease in species diversity or the number of threatened species. However, vanishing xeric specialists are often replaced by more mesophilic species.
