Páskovec velký (Cordulegaster heros) je balkánský druh s disjunktním areálem zasahujícím do střední Evropy. Výskyt je v současnosti znám z 10 povodí potoků v severovýchodní části Chřibů v jihovýchodní části České republiky, což představuje absolutně nejsevernější populaci. Larvy byly zaznamenány na malých meandrujích lesních potocích (nadmořská výška 235–426 m). Sedimenty v jednotlivých tocích měly zrnitostní složení s dominancí frakce 0,1 až 2 mm zastoupené 52,1 %. Byla zjištěna početnost 0,1–6,7 larev na 1 m2 vhodného sedimentu. Doba líhnutí imág byla zaznamenána od 28. května do 1. července, doba letu imág pak od 15. června do 11. srpna, s vrcholem letové aktivity ve třetí dekádě června.

The Balkan Goldenring (Cordulegaster heros) is a Balkan species with a disjunctive area extending into Central Europe. The population in the Chřiby Mountains in the south-eastern part of the Czech Republic is the northernmost population. Occurrence is currently known from 10 stream watersheds in the north-eastern part of the Chřiby Mts. Larvae were recorded at small forest streams (altitude of 235–426 m a. s. l.). The sediments in each stream had a grain size distribution with an average fraction of 0,1 to 2 mm represented by 52,1 %. The larval abundance was found to be 0,1–6,7 larvae per 1 m2 of suitable sediment. The emergence period was recorded from 28 May to 1 July, the flight period of adults from 15 June to 11 August with peak flight activity in the third week of June.
