Přežívání druhu ovlivňuje lesní hospodaření a klimatické změny.

Woodland Brown (Lopinga achine) is a critically endangered species. After approximately 50 years it was rediscovered in the Hlučín region, where it survives in the largest population in the Czech Republic. It inhabits very light forests (canopy cover less than 40 %) with a high cover of Carex brizoides hostplants. The survival of the species is affected by forest management and climate change. Conservation of the species must also include public communication.
