Prachovské skály, jednu z nejstarších přírodních rezervací v České republice, tvoří pískovcové skalní město, které bylo již od 19. století zpřístupněné hustou sítí turistických cest a patří k oblíbeným horolezeckým terénům. I přes více než 200 let trvající intenzivní lesní hospodaření a výsadbu nepůvodních druhů dřevin se zde zachovaly jádrové porosty původní vegetace brusnicových borů a bučin. Roste zde přes 550 druhů vyšších rostlin.

Prachovské skály, one of the oldest nature reserves in the Czech Republic, is a sandstone rock-pillar landscape that has been accessible by means of a dense network of tourist trails since the 19th century and is one of the most popular climbing terrains. Despite more than two hundred years of intensive forest management, and even though numerous non-native tree species have been planted, core stands of the original vegetation of cranberry pines and beech forests have been preserved. More than 550 species of higher plants grow here.
